Kids at the Museum

Various school groups and scouts of all ages frequent the Museum for ongoing projects and badges.  The Shadow Me program was successful in encouraging children to follow a Curator during the monthly workday and ask questions about future projects in science, biology, archaeology, entomology and other science fields.  Students can earn credit by volunteering.  Visitors to the Museum can help in curating insects, butterflies, study reptiles, shells, volunteer in fossil and archaeology workshops and help with general museum activities.  Students of any age are welcome!

2013 - Scouts from Caldwell, Idaho troop paid their annual visit to the Museum to hear a lecture by Howard Emry, Paleontologist. They also heard short talks on Archaeology, Birds, mollusks.  Curators are always available to help children in their areas of interest.
