Prof. Diane Raptosh

Since The College of Idaho's founding in 1891, students have learned from outstanding teachers such as Professor Diane Raptosh, Boise's first Poet Laureate and Idaho Writer-in-Residence.

Raptosh, who herself graduated from the C of I in 1983 and now teaches in the Department of English, is a Pushcart Prize-nominated author of four books of poetry. She says her greatest reward in teaching is the day-to-day breakthroughs her students make in their writing and in their ability to understand the issues at hand in their communities.
