History of the Harvest

The Taste of the Harvest celebration began in 2001 as a way to highlight the bounty of the agricultural harvest in Canyon County. It was the brain child of C of I alumnus Ron Bitner '68. Bitner is a local grape grower who saw an opportunity to bring the community together on The College of Idaho campus.

All proceeds benefit a scholarship fund for first generation students whose parents are agricultural workers.  The work of these families make the harvest possible.
