Whether it was a son or daughter who graduated recently or many years ago from the C of I, parents know first-hand how a College of Idaho education can influence a student’s entire life. Annual parent giving through the Boone Fund allows families to be involved in the educational experience of their children and support the College’s continued excellence. Parents may also wish to consider gifts to Advance The Legacy priorities or a planned gift that may provide income in addition to a tax deduction.
The Parents Advisory Council is a group of parents of current C of I students who, in addition to making an annual gift to the College, commit to hosting a cocktail party to introduce the College and discuss the need for support, act as a sounding board for the President on issues facing C of I parents and families, and are asked to lend their names to letter writing campaigns to seek gifts from other parents. The Parent Advisory Council meets three times during the academic year. For more information about joining the Council or the impact that gifts from parents of C of I students have, please contact Tara Wensel, director of the Boone Fund at 208-459-5016 or twensel@collegeofidaho.edu.
