NSF-SWITCH grant

In 2011, the Harold M. Tucker Herbarium began work on a National Science Foundation-funded initiative (SWITCH—South-West Idaho: The Comprehensive Herbaria) in collaboration with Boise State University to gather images and data on each specimen in the herbarium. These images and data, as they are gathered, are being made available at the Consortium of Pacific Northwest Herbaria website (www.pnwherbaria.org). As of spring 2013, about 24,000 of our 43,000 vascular plant specimens have been imaged and databased and are available online.”
