Intramural sports at The College of Idaho give students a chance to be competitive and have a little fun. If you don’t want to play on an intercollegiate team or if you want to give a new sport a try, intramurals offers a wide variety of fun activities. Get a group of friends, a club or dorm to pull together a team for flag football, basketball, volleyball or softball, to name a few. Faculty and staff are also invited to participate. See you on the field!
I would like to take this opportunity to extend an invitation to the C of I community to participate in intramural and campus recreational activities. The IM program is designed to improve the quality of student life by delivering a diverse range of programming.
Each semester a variety of events are offered based on the interests of students, staff and faculty. The activities are selected to meet both recreational needs and competitive interests. Most importantly, the IM staff attempts to schedule events that are fun. All activities are either team or individual activities for men and women.
While your personal motivations for participating in intramural activities may vary, I am confident that you will find the program inviting and stimulating to meet your personality. I hope that you utilize the intramural and recreational programs as an opportunity to learn new activities, enhance levels of skill, interact socially with others at the college, or release any built up anxiety. All levels of skill and ability are welcome in any of the recreational activities. I urge you to enjoy this program as part of your life at The C of I.
There are many ways in which you can become involved in recreational activities at The College of Idaho other than competing on a team. Each residence hall, living organization, or club usually has an intramural representative who is responsible for gathering recreational activities information, and organizing teams or participants for specific events.
If you are looking for a specific activity, but do not see it being offered, come by JA200 to promote your activity. If further information is needed about league or individual registration, or possible employment opportunities, please feel free to call (208)459-5870 or email email@example.com with your questions. I look forward to seeing you on the fields and courts.
