The College of Idaho is set to host its first ever Giving Day—a 24-hour event for alumni, students, friends and the entire community to support and celebrate the College! Giving Day is set for Tuesday, April 11, and will include challenges and fun ways to get involved both on campus and online.
“Giving Day embodies the community of love and support we enjoy on this campus,” said C of I Director of Development Jack Cafferty ’97. “We encourage the entire C of I family to get involved and make it a day to remember. Together, we can impact the future of the College in amazing ways.”
Giving Day will include a variety of fun events on campus including food, music and friendly competitions to see which campus groups can raise the most gifts. There also are a number of matching gifts just waiting to be unlocked—the first 100 gifts will unlock $5,000, reaching 350 gifts will unlock another $5,000, reaching $20,000 raised will unlock $10,000, reaching the $30,000 mark will unlock another $10,000, and if 100 new donors give, alumnus Bob Plumb ’73 will donate an additional $10,000 to the Boone Fund.
“The idea is to make it fun and have everyone join together in the spirit of philanthropy,” said Boone Fund Director Kylie Reagan ’14. “Whether you are able to give $1 or $1,000, you’ll be helping us reach one of the unlocking goals and build momentum throughout the campus and alumni base.”
For those unable to be on campus, Giving Day will be streamed online at https://yotesgive.collegeofidaho.edu. Videos, a donor wall and up-to-the-minute giving updates are just a few of the features included on this special Giving Day site. All Giving Day participants are encouraged to share the word on social media and encourage friends to join in.
The C of I also is looking for Giving Day Ambassadors to help get the word out. If you’d like to serve as an Ambassador, contact Kylie Reagan at (208) 459-5016 or click here.
Thank you for your support! We look forward to celebrating a successful Giving Day with you April 11!
