ACI will award 25 $1,000 scholarships to students by June 30, 2008.
Canyon County currently has a Hispanic population of 20.3 percent, compared to 7.6 percent statewide and 14.4 percent nationwide.
"This award is an important component of Albertson College of Idaho's ongoing efforts to serve Hispanic students in our area," President Bob Hoover said. "Canyon County has one of the fastest growing populations of Hispanic students in Idaho. It's important that we find ways to support them and encourage their growth and success."
