ACI Musicians Plan Spring Concert

CALDWELL, ID- Come enjoy the sounds of spring during the Albertson College of Idaho Concert Band and the CofI Jazz Ensemble concert.
The concert is planned for Thursday, May 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Langroise Recital Hall.
Guest soloists with the concert band are seniors Robertito Olvera, trumpet, and Russell Richardson, tuba. The concert band will perform a composition by Daniel Bukvich of the University of Idaho. The Symphony #1, In Memoriam Dresden- 1945, depicts the allied fire bombing of Dresden, which killed 150,000 men, women, and children. The concert band will also perform a contemporary piece, 'Into the Light,' by Jay Bocook.
The jazz ensemble, under the direction of Sandon Mayhew, will perform several great jazz pieces featuring members of the ensemble on improvised solos.
Donations for the band program will be accepted at the door.
