Ceramics Art Exhibition at Rosenthal Gallery Through April 6
2002. 03. 15.
CALDWELL, ID- Porcelain ceramics by Bonnie Seeman and earthenware sculptures by Bryan Hively are on display at the Rosenthal Gallery of Art on the Albertson College campus through April 6. The exhibit, entitled "Ceramic Vessels and Sculptures," is free and open to the public.
Located in Blatchley Hall, the Rosenthal Gallery of Art is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, or by appointment.
Seeman and Hively live and work in Miami, and have exhibited widely in the United States and abroad. Their work challenges traditional pottery forms with pieces that mix the functional with the sculptural. Seeman's pottery includes ornate, vividly colored porcelain pieces decorated with sculptured vegetal motifs, while Hively's hand-built earthenware pieces are based on pod and dish shapes.
