2008. 04. 10.
CALDWELL The Board of Trustees of The College of Idaho is forming a search committee to find a new College president to replace President Bob Hoover who is retiring in June 2009.
Sen. John McGee, a College of Idaho alumnus and trustee, has been named the chairman of the search committee. Committee members have not been selected, but will include representatives from The C of I faculty (3), students (2), staff (2), alumni (2), parent (1), administration (1) and trustees (4). There will also be one representative from the Caldwell community.
The College will hire a national search firm to assist with the review of candidates. A decision about which firm will be hired is expected in May.
The search committee has been asked by the Board of Trustees to bring three finalists forward for review by a selection committee. The trustees hope to have a new president identified at the end of 2008.
The College of Idaho is committed to keeping the community informed about the search for a president. Updates will be posted in the weekly newsletter and a link is on the College homepage www.collegeofidaho.edu. To subscribe to the weekly newsletter, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
