2008. 10. 07.
CALDWELL – The College of Idaho will dedicate three new and two refurbished tennis courts at a ceremony on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. The courts have a distinctive purple playing surface because the college's school colors are purple and gold.
The three new courts were donated by the Laura Moore Cunningham Foundation and will be named in honor of the Foundation. The refurbished courts were donated by C of I trustee Dr. Dick Roberge, his wife Rowena, his daughter Mary Parsons and her husband Lee Parsons. Mary is a swim coach at The C of I.
At the ceremony, the women's tennis team will serve to the men's tennis team to officially "open" the courts. Having the new courts allowed The C of I to bring back men's tennis for the first time in five years. The public is invited to attend the ceremony. The new tennis courts are near the college's Aquatic Center.
