Albertson College Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble to Perform Dec. 4

CALDWELL, ID- Let the music take you away with the Albertson College Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble during their concert on Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Langroise Recital Hall on the Albertson College campus. The public is invited, and admission is free.
The 41-member Concert Band, conducted by Terry Stone, professor of music, will perform Robert W. Smith's 'Through the Vulcan's Eye' and 'Ireland: Of Legend and Lore.' The Concert Band will also play 'Invercargill,' a spirited march, and 'The Corsairs Landing.'
Soloists will include Amanda Hendrix, of Blackfoot, on the oboe; Sara Simms, of Winnemucca, NV, on piccolo; Andrea Lindberg, of Twin Falls, on flute; Michael Bowers, of Emmett, on Alto Sax; Bertram Martin, of Payette, on trumpet and Anna Bender, of Boise, on bassoon.
The Jazz Ensemble, directed by Mr. Sandon Mayhew, will perform 'Blues and the Abstract Truth,' 'Smoke Gets in Your Eyes,' and several other great jazz tunes.
