The C of I homecoming and history majors reunion begins Sept. 24; registration due Sept. 14

CALDWELLThe College of Idaho is hosting several events for Homecoming, including a history majors, alumni and friends reunion, on Sept. 24-27. Please register for both by Sept. 14 by going to https://www.collegeofidaho.edu/media/_secure/hc909.asp.

"This is wonderful opportunity for alumni, friends and family members to visit our beautiful campus and relive their wonderful memories here," alumni director Frances Nagashima, class of '01, said.

Events include:

  • Dinner with Professor Franklin Specht – Once a year isn't often enough for the annual Franklin Specht dinner. Don't miss this Homecoming barbecue on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. at Bitner Vineyards. Cost is $15. Register at https://www.collegeofidaho.edu/media/_secure/hc909.asp by Sept. 14.

  • History Brunch – Your history professors are looking forward to seeing you again – this is a great opportunity to catch up with them as well as your fellow history classmates on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 9 a.m. in Simplot Dining Hall.   • Alumni Awards Dinner – Join us in celebrating our Distinguished Alumni Award recipients for 2009 – Janie Burns of Nampa, class of '77, Jeff Shinn of Boise, class of '73, David Muller formerly of Caldwell now living in Washington D.C., class of '99, and the Pippitt family of Twin Falls will be honored on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. in Simplot Dining Hall. Other events and activities include the Coyote Open Golf Tournament, Taste of the Harvest annual Idaho wine and food festival, and the Hayman Hall rededication ceremony.
