Endowment completed for Mazurak Scholarship at The C of I

CALDWELL – A scholarship endowment has been completed to recognize Professor Terry Mazurak and his more than 25-year career at The C of I.
The Mazurak Scholarship, which is based on need, will be awarded annually to a junior or senior humanities student, with a preference for those majoring in philosophy or religion.
The scholarship, which will be endowed in perpetuity at the College, has 15 donors who combined their efforts to reach the required $25,000 endowment minimum.
Mazurak, who holds the Bernie McCain Chair in the Humanities, came to The College of Idaho in 1982 and remembers it as "much smaller, with fewer buildings, fewer students and faculty – and a very good atmosphere. I was impressed from the day I arrived by the academic seriousness of the students and faculty." Mazurak was mentored by much beloved professor of philosophy and religion Bill Chalker.
"My deepest appreciations to all the donors," Mazurak said. "I can think of no greater privilege and no higher honor than this."
