Stargazers Invited to Public Planetarium Show

2005. 10. 03.

CALDWELL (Idaho) -- As the planet Mars increases in brightness and size this fall, some of the mysteries behind the enigmatic red planet will be illuminated during the Whittenberger Planetarium's first public show of the season.

Public shows will be offered on October 6, November 3, and December 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Boone Science Hall on the Albertson College of Idaho campus. The cost for the show is $1.00 for children ages 5-18 and $2.00 for adults. Due to limited seating, reservations are required.

Along with providing general information on the different constellations and planets visible each month, the planetarium shows will focus on Earth's planetary neighbor, Mars. Planetarium visitors will learn about the history of Mars, tips on how to find the planet in the night sky, and some of the current events taking place on its surface.

For more information about the Whittenberger Planetarium and its programming, and to make reservations for a show, contact JoAnn Bellon at 459-5211.
