Albertson College Hosts Wine Sensory Class

CALDWELL (Idaho) – Whether you're a wine aficionado or a novice who would like to learn more about wine tasting, you are invited to a wine sensory class at Albertson College of Idaho.
The class will be held on Friday May 5 from 4:00-6:00 in the Fireside Room in Simplot Dining Hall on the Albertson College campus. The cost is $15 per person and you must be 21 or older to attend. Space is limited and RSVP is required. To reserve your spot, call 459-5300 or email email@example.com.
In the class, participants will learn to identify 10 different aromas. They will also taste various wines and score them by using UC Davis 20 point scale. The class will be facilitated by Chuck Devlin, a winemaker for Ste. Chapelle. Devlin oversees the crafting of 150,000 cases of wine each year in a wide range of varietals and styles. He has a Fermentation Science degree from UC Davis and has worked some 30 vintages, six of them at Ste. Chapelle and one in McLaren Vale, Australia. He is a wine judge at the Orange County Fair Wine Competition, Pacific Rim, West Coast and San Diego and writes a wine appreciation column.
