College of Idaho Events Director Wins National Achievement Award

CALDWELL, ID (31 March 2010) – Jill Pilote, director of special events and conference services at The College of Idaho, has received the Outstanding Individual Achievement Award from the Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors International. Pilote received the award at the association's annual conference in Louisville, Kentucky, on March 24.
The Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors International is comprised of over 1,400 campus professionals who design, market, coordinate and plan conferences and special events on campuses around the world. The Outstanding Individual Achievement Award recognizes a significant achievement by an individual in the field that demonstrates innovation, vision, a significant change, or a development that could be applied throughout the industry.
Pilote, who has worked at The College of Idaho for eight years, was nominated for the award for her outstanding coordination of the College's biennial scholarship gala, Taste of the Harvest Festival, and presidential inauguration all within a few short months. She was nominated by her colleague Tracylea Balmer with a letter of support from C of I President Dr. Marv Henberg.
"It's a great honor to receive this award from my colleagues," Pilote said. "Successful event planning takes a huge amount of teamwork, and I'm fortunate to work with an outstanding group of people at The College of Idaho."
