Idaho was still "Idaho" at the Last Millenium, says Albertson College Professor

CALDWELL, ID -- What would the Treasure Valley have looked like a thousand years ago -- at the turn of the last millennium?
Geologically not as different as one might expect, says Albertson College biology professor Eric Yensen, but the vegetation would be different.
"A thousand years is a drop in the bucket," Yensen, who teaches a class entitled "Idahos natural History," said. "Earthquakes and erosion have certainly altered the landscape slightly in the last thousand years, but most of all weve arranged the landscape to suit ourselves. There have been more changes in the last 200 years than the previous 10,000 years."
