What happened to Pluto? Inquiring minds can discover the answer to during the Whittenberger Planetarium's public shows over the next few months.
The planetarium is located on the Albertson College of Idaho campus and offers public shows on the second Thursday of each month. These shows will focus on the recent reclassification of Pluto as an asteroid. Also included in each show will be an overview of the current night sky—the constellations, planets, and any other astronomical events visible that month.
Dates for the fall shows are October 12th, November 9th, and December 14th. All shows begin at 7:30 pm in the Boone Science Hall. The cost is $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children ages 5-18. Reservations are required as seating is limited. Please make reservations by calling JoAnn Bellon at 459-5211. The planetarium is located in Boone Science Hall near Jewett Auditorium on the corner of 20th Ave. and Fillmore St.
