Dark Christmas Comedy "The Eight Reindeer Monolouges" to be performed Dec. 11-13 at Albertson College; Dec. 19-21 at Fulton Street Theatre
2002. 11. 22.
CALDWELL, ID- "The Eight: Reindeer Monologues," a dark Christmas comedy, will be performed on Dec. 11-13 at the Langroise Center studio theatre on the Albertson College campus and Dec. 19-21 at the Fulton Street Theater, 854 Fulton St., in Boise. All shows begin at 8 p.m.
Written by Jeff Goode, the play opens with a scandal at the North Pole when one of Santa's eight tiny reindeer accuses him of sexual harassment. As mass media descends upon the event, the other members of the sleigh team demand to share their perspectives, and a horrific tale of corruption and perversion emerges, which seems to implicate everyone from the littlest elf to the tainted Saint himself.
Goode will be at the Albertson College campus for the opening of the show and will discuss his methods of play writing with Albertson students.
The cast includes Jef Petersen as Dasher, Burk Tarrant as Cupid, Steven Hopper as Hollywood, Michele Appel as Blitzen, Tim Saunders as Comet, Tiffany Beck as Dancer, Joe Golden as Donner and Tess Parke as Vixen.
The play contains mature themes and is not recommended for children.
Ticket prices are $10 (Select-A-Seat ticket fees not included) and are available via Select-A-Seat (426-1494), or via the Internet at www.idahotickets.com. Proceeds from the performance will benefit the Albertson College Theatre program.
