Albertson College of Idaho Economics Professor to Speak at the Institute of World Economics and Politics

CALDWELL (Idaho)- Albertson College of Idaho Politics and Economics professor Dr. Jim Angresano has been invited by the Institute of World Economics and Politics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing, China to present his recent research papers on the political and economic integration of Asia, China's development, and the growth of university and private sector research centers.
Angresano's trip will take place in late February and early March 2005. Angresano, an expert in economic development and comparative economics, has also taught university classes in China and teaches regularly at the University of Trento in Italy.
Angresano has received three Fulbright Scholarships in recent years. In both February 2003 and February 2004, Angresano received a Fulbright Senior Specialist grant to lecture on economic development and international economics at Cairo University in Cairo, Egypt. In 1991 he taught at the University of Varna in Bulgaria on a Fulbright Scholarship.
Angresano received his bachelor's degree from Lehigh University; an M.B.A from New York University and a doctorate from the University of Tennessee. He has taught at CofI for eight years. Albertson College of Idaho is the state's oldest private, residential liberal arts and sciences institution. With an average class size of 15, students receive personal attention from faculty members dedicated to teaching. The college has recently received several honors including being named the best value in college education by Money magazine.
