Microsoft Executive to Discuss Business and Technology at Albertson College Luncheon on May 2

CALDWELL, ID- How the technology sector could drive economic recovery and Idaho's stake in that recovery will be the focus of remarks by Bret Arsenault, chief technology officer of the eBusiness Solutions Group for Microsoft Corp, during the spring Business Leaders luncheon at Albertson College. Arsenault, a 1987 graduate of Albertson College, will speak at noon on Thursday, May 2, in the Simplot Commons South Dining Hall on the Albertson College campus.

Arsenault, who joined Microsoft in 1990, has 15 years of extensive experience in network computing, distributed processing and web-based solutions and is widely known in the industry as a respected business and technology speaker.

As CTO for the E-Commerce Solutions Group at Microsoft Corp., Arsenault is responsible for the company's e-commerce business strategy and industry vision for Microsoft. He is also in charge of emerging on-line customers - ranging from startups to established Internet companies - in the United States, as well as managing the company's relationships with U.S.-based venture capital firms.

Arsenualt will also discuss technological trends and their impact on academia at an evening program at Albertson later that evening at 7:30 p.m. in the Langroise Center recital hall.
