Second CofI Student Research Conference is April 28

CALDWELL – Albertson College of Idaho will host its second annual Student Research Conference on Saturday, April 28 from 12:30 to 5 p.m. in Langroise Auditorium. A reception will follow the conference from 5-6 p.m.

The Student Research Conference includes diverse topics such as:

• A field study of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program
• The effect of brand names on the perception of taste and quality
• Control of cheatgrass

There are 65 CofI students presenting their work at the research conference. This includes 16 paper presentations, two musical performances and 17 posters. Submissions came from 11 categories including anthropology/sociology, biology, education, English, mathematics, physical sciences, psychology, and music.

"We are all very proud of our students' achievements," said Sara Heggland, associate professor of biology and chair of the Student Research Conference Committee.

"The conference is all about students. This event is a celebration to acknowledge the value of student contribution to the liberal arts educational experience."
