Explore the Heavens on National Astronomy Day
2005. 04. 08.
CALDWELL (Idaho)- The public is invited to celebrate National Astronomy Day at Albertson College of Idaho on Saturday April 16, 2005.
Activities will include an indoor activity, brief planetarium shows to orient participants to the evening skies, and then, if skies are clear, an opportunity to view the moon, planets, and deep space objects through several telescopes.
The indoor activity will begin at 8:00 p.m. followed by the first planetarium show. The planetarium shows and outdoor viewing will continue until everyone has had an opportunity to view the stars.
All activities will take place in and near Boone Science Hall. The parking lot at the corner of 20th and Fillmore will give the closest access to Boone.
Donations will gladly be accepted at the event. For more information, please contact JoAnn Bellon by calling 459-5211.
