Albertson College Benefit Auction to Feature Unique Items and Memorable Evening

2003. 04. 11.

CALDWELL, ID- Oriental rugs, a dream vacation to Maui, a hand-built redwood arbor, Bogus Basin ski passes, antiques, paintings, children's birthday parties, a musical evening with the Langroise Trio and many other items will be available for purchase April 26 at this year's Albertson College of Idaho auction in Caldwell.

A high-energy team of volunteers led by auction chairwoman Lisa Derig has spent months gathering items for the auction, which benefits scholarships at the liberal arts college. The auction has raised more than $1.6 million in the last 15 years.

The evening includes silent and live auctions, a gourmet meal with wine and live jazz. Raffle tickets for a four-person trip to the Cook Islands will be sold during the event.

This year's theme, "A Passport to the World," spotlights the college's international students from Nepal, India, Russia, Japan and other nations.

The volunteer committee includes Shannon Satz, Linda Everett, Jana Price, Debi Maughan, Suzi Boyles, Julia Crossland, Paula Kluksdal, Jerry Korn, Betty Frazier and Denece Hunter.

Tickets are $125 each. For reservations, please contact Lila Fladwood at 459-5300 or [email protected]
