One of the most successful programs at The College of Idaho, the ski program dates back to the mid 1960s - as John Engels, Terry Brady, Terry Phemister, and Bob Sevy helped the Coyotes to a second-place finish at the 1966 Bend Intercollegiate Winter Carnival, paving the way for decades of C of I skiers.
With team NSCA and USCSA national championships in 1979, 1980, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1989, 1990, 1993, 1994, 1995, 2005, 2009, and 2011 - Coyote skiing is one of the more respected programs nationally within the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association.
