Criminal Charges and Student Conduct Violations

The college reserves the right to institute criminal or civil proceedings. Students likewise have the right to bring civil or criminal action through the   courts.

If a student is involved in an incident (on or off campus), which results in a criminal or civil investigation, the college reserves the right to take appropriate action (including, but not limited to suspension from the college,   restriction from the residence halls, etc.) pending the outcome of the proceedings.

If the incident also results in a campus judicial action, the student may choose to delay the campus process until the criminal or civil proceeding has come to fruition. By choosing to delay the campus process, the accused student accepts suspension from the college and may not enter college property without the expressed authorization of the Dean of Student Affairs.
