C of I among Princeton Review’s ‘Best Colleges’

The College of Idaho once again has been named one of the nation’s top schools by The Princeton Review in the 2015 edition of its book, "The Best 379 Colleges." In recent years, the C of I has been an annual inclusion in the book, which serves as The Princeton Review’s flagship college guide. 

C of I named ‘Campus Worth Traveling For’

The College of Idaho has been featured on FlipKey.com’s 50 State Series “Top Campuses Worth Traveling For.” FlipKey.com, the vacation rental company of leading travel site TripAdvisor, compiled the 50-school list based upon the best attractions, architecture, history and scenic beauty available at campuses in each state. The C of I was recognized specifically for the Orma J. Smith Museum of Natural History, our region’s premier resource for environmental and natural history education.

C of I to participate in Idaho Gives campaign

The College of Idaho is participating in the second annual Idaho Gives campaign, a statewide crowd funding event on May 1 that celebrates the work of Idaho’s nonprofit organizations.

The College of Idaho has published its spring 2014 issue of Quest magazine, which hits mailboxes this week. The issue has a theme of “Success,” honoring the many C of I students, alumni, faculty and staff who have enjoyed tremendous achievements in the classroom, on the athletic field, in their careers and in life during the 123-year history of the College.

The College of Idaho to offer summer courses

The College of Idaho will begin offering summer courses this year, providing additional opportunities for current and new students to take classes in subjects such as politics, psychology and Spanish.

The College of Idaho has launched an online presence for its College Store, giving alumni, parents, the campus community and the public an opportunity to shop for and purchase C of I apparel and gifts from the comfort of their homes.

Novelist and College of Idaho alumnus Christopher Farnsworth will return to his alma mater as keynote speaker for the College’s 2014 Commencement ceremonies May 17.

‘Quest’ magazine honored at CASE VIII Conference

For the second time in three years, The College of Idaho’s Quest magazine has been recognized for excellence by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s District VIII Recognition Program. The article “Force of Nature,” written by Quest editor Jordan Rodriguez, received the bronze award in the “Individual Feature Articles” writing category during the 2014 CASE VIII Conference held this week in Vancouver, B.C.

C of I joint PA program gets boost from $100,000 grant

The College of Idaho’s joint physician assistant program has received a $100,000 grant from The ALSAM Foundation, based in Salt Lake City, to support renovations of a facility for the program as it prepares to enroll its first students in fall 2014.

The College of Idaho and Idaho State University are partnering to expand ISU’s two-year Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program, and the grant is an important step forward in establishing a state-of-the-art facility that links The College of Idaho in Caldwell with existing ISU sites in Meridian and Pocatello.
