Coyotes win first home game in 37 years

The ball hung in the air—and the game in the balance—as a capacity crowd of nearly 5,000 held its collective breath.

College of Idaho cornerback Nate Moore got a hand on the pigskin, sending the ball to the turf and setting off purple-clad pandemonium inside Simplot Stadium.

C of I set for football home opener Sept. 13

For the first time in 37 years, The College of Idaho football team will take the field in front of its home crowd Saturday at Simplot Stadium in Caldwell. The Coyotes, coached by Mike Moroski, host Montana Western in one of the most anticipated games Canyon County has ever seen. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

FOREST GROVE, ORE. – The return of College of Idaho football started with a bang and ended with a double-thud—a thrilling field goal block that sealed a wild, 35-34 victory for the Coyotes in their first football game since 1977.

C of I set for Purple and Gold Scrimmage

The College of Idaho football team is set to hold its inaugural Purple and Gold Scrimmage on Monday, Aug. 25 – less than two weeks before the Coyotes return to competition after a 37-year hiatus. The scrimmage, which is free and open to the public, kicks off at 6 p.m. inside the newly renovated Simplot Stadium. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and there will be a special pregame program beginning at 5:30 p.m.

C of I releases single-game football tickets

The College of Idaho’s first football game in 37 years is just one month away, and tickets remain available to watch the Coyotes’ historic return to the gridiron. The C of I today has opened single-game ticket sales, with adult seats available for just $11 per game.

C of I to dedicate Marty Holly Athletics Center

The College of Idaho’s first new campus building in more than a decade will officially open July 29 as the C of I dedicates the Marty Holly Athletics Center. The ceremony and ribbon cutting will begin at 10 a.m. inside the building, followed immediately by guided tours of the 22,000-square-foot facility.

C of I opens football tailgating sales

Local football fans will have their first opportunity in more than 35 years to tailgate at a small college game when The College of Idaho’s reinstated program kicks off this fall, and spots are on sale now.  

C of I, KTIK announce football partnership

The College of Idaho, KTIK AM 1350 and Jon Carson Productions are teaming up to provide live radio broadcasts of the Coyote football team’s return to the gridiron this fall. All 11 regular-season C of I football games will be broadcast live on KTIK and streamed live online at www.ktik.com.

C of I football season tickets still available

Tickets to The College of Idaho’s 2014 football season are on sale, and seats in all sections remain available to fans who wish to experience the return of small college football to Idaho this fall.

Reserved season tickets, general admission season tickets and family season packages are available for purchase online. Individual game tickets will go on sale in August. Ticket prices are as follows:

C of I football program unveils helmet design

The College of Idaho football program today offered the first glimpse of what its players will wear on the field when the Coyotes return to the gridiron this fall.

The Coyotes will sport gold helmets with a purple C of I logo on the sides, head coach Mike Moroski announced following the team’s spring showcase on campus. The final design was decided by a vote amongst C of I students, alumni, faculty and staff.
