The College of Idaho tennis program has a long history, dating back into the 1950s, when a men's program competed into the 1970s - when the majority of sports at the College were discontinued.
A women's program was started in 1985, and a year later, longtime head coach Cisco Limbago took over the program - leading the team to multiple NAIA National Tournaments during the late 1980s and the 1990s. A men's program made a brief return in the late 1990s, before being reinstated in 2009.
