Hurd is in his second season with the Coyotes...used the 2011 track season as a redshirt year...spent two years at Treasure Valley CC, but did not compete...a 2006 graduate of Payette High, where he was an nine-time state champion on the track...won the 3A state championship in the 110-hurdles all four years of high school, won the 300-hurdles as a freshman, sophomore, and junior, claiming the title in the 100-meters and long jump as a junior - helping team to the state title...personal best marks of 10.8 in the 100-meters, 14.30 in the 110-hurdles...38.3 in the 300-hurdles...22-4 in the long jump, 6,206 in the decathlon...studying exercise science...parents Val and Jeanne Hurd.
