Visit Campus

The best way to get to know The College of Idaho is to visit our campus. We invite you to learn how you can be a special part of our small, supportive and close-knit community dedicated to helping you ignite your passions and reach your potential.

Tour the campus

Tour campus with one of our Student Ambassadors and learn more about The College of Idaho's 123 year history and our beautiful residential camapus. After the tour meet your admission counselor to learn more about The College of Idaho and how you can become a Coyote! 

The Admission Office is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, and from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Saturdays.  During the regular school year daily campus tours depart from Hendren Hall at       10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2p.m., and 3 p.m.

During Spring Break (March 24-28) tours depart from Hendren Hall at     10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.

Saturday visits are another option for campus tours. The Admission Office is open on Saturdays from 10:00 AM until 2:00PM for campus tours and for an oppotunity to speak with an Admission Counselor.

Create your individual visit

An individual visit is your personalized day on the campus. In addition to a campus tour and meeting with your admission counselor, you can take part in campus life at The College of Idaho by joining a class or meeting a professor or coach. Visits during the school year (September through May) are recommended as this is the best time to experience life on campus.

Individual visits can be arranged between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. most weekdays during the school year with some exceptions for holidays, exam times and other special events. Book your visit online or email us at Please allow one week’s notice so that we can tailor your visit to your interests.

Overnight stays are also an option for students interested in experiencing life in our residence halls. Space for overnight stays is limited and we require at least one week's notice to set up an overnight visit.  To discuss overnight visits plese contact the Visit and Event Coordinator directly at 208-459-5020 or via email at  

Group Visits

Discovery Days (open houses for prospective students) are offered in the fall, winter and spring.  They provide an opportunity for you to meet faculty members, current students and admission staff and gain in-depth knowledge about The College of Idaho experience. For high school seniors wishing to attend a Discovery Day, fall or winter are generally best and leave plenty of time to complete the admission process to the College. High school sophomores and juniors and their families are welcome to attend a fall, winter or spring Discovery Day, or one of the group visit days in the summer.
