Next Steps

Visit Campus

The College of Idaho is known for its diverse, engaged, supportive community. We invite you to experience this for yourself during a private campus visit. Students have the opportunity to tour campus, have lunch with current students, sit in on a class, and more! Sign up for a campus visit here or by emailing our Visit Center

Financial Aid

Students who applied by the Early Action 1 Deadline will receive their initial financial aid package in December. All other students will receive their financial aid package within two weeks of their admission decision.

Students should file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after October 1st as possible and add The College of Idaho to their FAFSA using our school code: 001617. The College uses FAFSA information to determine need-based scholarships and eligibility for federal grants and loans.

Looking for more scholarships? Check out our list of institutional scholarships and external scholarship resources. If you receive any outside scholarships, you are required to email the Financial Aid office with your name, the scholarship source, and the amount of the scholarship.

Have questions? Your admission counselor would be happy to discuss your financial aid package and estimated cost of attendance in more depth!

Admitted Student Day

Admitted Students Days celebrate students’ acceptance to The College of Idaho and help ensure they are ready to start their first year off on the right foot. This is a time to sit down and analyze if your major and minor choices are the best combination to achieve your goals. Students who are still undecided can use this time to thoroughly reflect on what it is they want to accomplish and receive guidance from first-year advisors. Students and families will also have the opportunity to speak with current students, members of the Parent Council, and college staff to learn more about campus life and what it means to be a Yote.

Only students who have already been accepted to The College of Idaho will receive an invitation to this event. If you have further questions, please contact your Admission Counselor or email our Visit Center.

Enrollment Deposit

To reserve your place in the incoming class, a non-refundable enrollment deposit of $300 is required by May 1, or by the date stated on your acceptance letter. Priority for living arrangements and class registration is based on when your deposit is received, so we recommend depositing as early as possible. An early deposit means you'll have first-pick of the housing and courses of your choice. The funds received from your deposit are deducted from your total tuition and fees for Fall term. Click here to pay your deposit with a credit or debit card, or contact our Business Office for more payment options.

Deposited Students

Congratulations on making your enrollment deposit to The College of Idaho! We are so excited you chose us for the next chapter of your educational journey. Stay up-to-date on the next steps for deposited students here.

Virtual Admitted Student Day

New students who couldn't attend one of our on-campus events joined online to hear about the College, our Caldwell community, and the student experience. Our guest panel included faculty, staff, and students taking YOUR questions.
