Touring is an integral part of The College of Idaho Chamber Singer experience, both in terms of outreach and education. Past tours include trips to regional sites, national music centers, and international destinations.
Recently, the Chamber Singers toured to China, visiting Beijing, Xi'an, Pingyao, and Taiyuan. Previously the Chamber Singers toured to New York City, where they performed in historic Carnegie Hall with renowned composer Eric Whitacre.
The Chamber Singers and String Quartet also recently embarked on a musical tour to northern Italy. Trips like these serve to extend learning beyond the classroom and teach language, music, and art in a way that is unique to a specific place and culture. These students visited and performed in Rome, Montecatini Terme, Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Mantova, and Venice, where they will see, hear, and experience the Italian culture and perform in concert.
