Research & Creative Activity Grants

The College of Idaho’s Student Research Grant program has been established to promote student scholarship and creativity in all fields of study. The program is designed to provide students the opportunity to conduct exceptional work under the supervision of a faculty mentor. The goal is to help the College build a community of student scholars spanning a variety of disciplines that will ultimately enhance the academic vitality of the campus community.

Students may apply for funds to travel to professional meetings, workshops, institutes, and symposia, including registration, transportation, lodging, and/or meals (up to $500).

Students may apply for research and creative endeavor grants to help purchase equipment and supplies necessary for a project or travel to the project site (up to $1000).

Applications are reviewed multiple times per year by the Student Research Grand Committee. The deadlines for the 2021-22 academic year are:

  • September 27
  • November 15
  • February 14
  • April 18
