Whittenberger Planetarium to host September show

As the Autumnal Equinox is almost here The Whittenberger Planetarium is gearing up to host the September public planetarium show at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21. Planetarium goers will learn the meaning of the equinoxes and solstices, the circumstances that bring them about, and an overview of the constellations, planets, and moon we can see in the September sky. Tickets are $2.50 for children ages 4-17 and $5 for adults. 

Whittenberger Planetarium set for July public show

Explore the final frontier at The College of Idaho’s Whittenberger Planetarium! The New Horizons mission will be the lead topic when the planetarium hosts its next public show at 7 p.m. July 23 inside Boone Hall on the C of I campus in Caldwell. Learn about the New Horizons mission, which left Earth in 2006 en route to Pluto, and just flew by the planet on July 14. New Horizons is the first-ever space mission to explore a world so far from Earth.

The New Horizons mission and the summer solstice will be the lead topics when the planetarium hosts its next public show at 7 p.m. June 19 inside Boone Hall on the C of I campus in Caldwell. Learn what makes the first day of summer a unique day on Earth and get an update on the New Horizons mission.  New Horizons, which left Earth in 2006 en route to Pluto, was brought out of hibernation last winter and will fly by Pluto on July 14.

Whittenberger Planetarium hosts February public show

Explore the final frontier at The College of Idaho’s Whittenberger Planetarium! The New Horizons spacecraft will be the lead topic when the planetarium hosts its next public show at 7 p.m. Feb. 13 inside Boone Hall on the C of I campus in Caldwell. The recently renovated Planetarium, which now features new cove lights and handicapped access, will explore the New Horizons mission, which left Earth in 2006 en route to Pluto. The spacecraft will fly by Pluto in July. Tickets cost $5 for adults and $2.50 for children ages 4-17.
