The Whittenberger Planetarium will focus on Ceres and Mars this spring. Ceres, our closest dwarf planet has been the focus of attention for the Dawn spacecraft and Curiosity has been roving Gale Crater on Mars. Dawn is helping us understand the processes involved in the formation of our solar system and Curiosity is trying to determine if Mars was ever habitable. In addition to a run-through of the February night skies, the planetarium program will be an overview of some of the important discoveries and images of these far-away places.
The cost is $3.00 for children ages 4-17 and $6 for adults. Tickets should be purchased in advanced at https://www.collegeofidaho.edu/about/campus-facilities/planetarium
