A part of their monthly Work Days, which have been held on the first Saturday of the month for the past three decades, the Orma J. Smith Museum of Natural History invites experts to share their research with the public. Topics range from Yukon Botany to Insects & Microbes to Ground Squirrels. The College of Idaho Gipson Honors Students will even be presenting their individual discoveries gleaned from museum specimens. The talks will be held in the Boone Science Hall on the campus of The College of Idaho, at noon on Work Days.
October's guest is Danielle Lewis and the topic is "Stolen Tears: Appropriation of the 'Noble Savage' as an Environmental Icon."
