Cogan began his storytelling as a history teacher at Jefferson Junior High School in Caldwell in the late 1970s. He became a professional bard after several years as a teacher and administrator in Ketchum.  He has returned to the Treasure Valley and works throughout the U.S. as a highly acclaimed family programmer, entertainer and educator.  Truksa, whose background is in science education, also began her career in the public schools.  For eighteen years she has served as director of the Whittenberger Planetarium educating people of all ages in the field of astronomy.

The planetarium is located in Boone Science Building near Jewett Auditorium at the corner of 20th Ave. and Fillmore St. in Caldwell.
