The award is given to students nominated by staff and faculty as someone who best embodies the values of the C of I community. Those values include community, integrity, leadership and service.
The Juettens have taken the passion they have for both students and the performing arts and generously gifted $100,000 to The College of Idaho to establish the Joe Golden Scholarship for students in theatre and music.
Due to popular demand, The College of Idaho’s Whittenberger Planetarium will add a second public show at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, “The Winter Solstice,” which will be about the upcoming event representing the shortest day of the year.

Only a month after receiving their first award from the American Institute of Architects, the design team behind The College of Idaho’s Cruzen-Murray Library has once against received top honors from a second jury of AIA professionals.
With December fast approaching, The College of Idaho will help ring in the holiday season with a number of popular events, including the Sixth Annual Holiday Tree Lighting on Monday, Nov. 26, the Feast of Carols on Wednesday, Nov. 28, the C of I Wind and Jazz Ensembles on Thursday, Nov. 29, and the Piano Studio on Friday, Nov. 30.
On Nov. 13, Moore visited the C of I campus to partake in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Outdoor Program Center which now bears his and his late wife’s names: the Winston and Diane Moore Outdoor Program Center. The 94-year-old Moore was all smiles as he spoke with the students who assembled for the event, taking time to learn their names before the event began.
In honor of the $1 million gift from Boise commercial real estate developer Winston Moore and his family, The College of Idaho will celebrate the renaming of its Outdoor Program Center to the Winston and Diane Moore Outdoor Program Center at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13.
