Student Research Grant Program

The College's Student Research Grant (SRG) Program has been established to promote student scholarship and creativity in all fields of study. the program is designed to provide students the opportunity to conduct exceptional work under the supervision of a faculty mentor. The goal is to help the College build a community of student scholars spanning a variety of disciplines that will ultimately enhance the academic vitality of the campus community.

To encourage original research/creation, students can apply for consideration for this award for the following purposes:

  • Research/Creative Activity Grant - Students may apply for up to $1,000 for equipment/materials for an original research/creative project; travel to/from project sites or exposure-related activities (artist talk/show); or non-royalty publication costs.
  • Conference Grant - Students may apply for up to $500 for travel expenses/fees for conferences, workshops or symposia at which the student is presenting their work.

Applications for the SRGs will be considered four times a year on October 10, December 10, February 10, and April 10. For more information and to apply, review the "RESEARCH" section of the HIP Sway.
