Vocal Jazz

The College of Idaho Vocal Jazz Ensemble is a select award-winning group of singers and instrumentalists. Directed by Dr. Marianne Saunders, the group is in high demand for performances on campus and off. The group specializes in classic jazz favorites, much in the style of Manhattan Transfer, capitalizing on the expertise of the student soloists. Each singer uses their own microphone and the rhythm section is comprised of piano, upright acoustic bass, drumset, and guitar. This group has traveled with the C of I Choral Department to Ireland, England, Canada, San Francisco, and Salt Lake City.
