Personal Statement

I joined The College of Idaho in December 2023, where I was excited to work with and mentor students. I know from personal experience that attending college and figuring out future life plans can be difficult. I love helping first year students navigate their new campus experiences. By working together, we can craft personalized academic plans that will help them succeed both with their personal and professional goals. I am also passionate about helping students think through their career and graduate school plans. With so many different career pathways students might follow, it is so enjoyable discovering individual paths alongside each student.

Professional Experience

I have always wanted to work with college students in some form. I started my career working in research & library instruction services--first at The University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign and then at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. In both positions, I would often work with students one-on-one and teach classes about research and copyright. When I had the opportunity to move back to my hometown (Meridian, ID), I knew I wanted to dive even deeper into student services. Being Pre-Professional advisor at The College of Idaho has been the perfect fit.
