We look at every application and consider all of your academic and extracurricular achievements — not just your GPA or test scores. In fact, we have a standardized test-optional admission process, which means you don't have to submit ACT or SAT scores when you apply here.

There are three great ways to apply to C of I:

Factors We Consider

There are no minimum scores or grades. However, these are the factors we look at when making admissions decisions:

  • Overall high school academic record
  • Recommendation letters
  • Co-curricular activities
  • Community involvement
  • Writing ability
  • Other achievements
  • Any advanced placement (AP) or international baccalaureate (IB) credits

Application Deadlines

We're currently accepting applications for Spring and Fall 2025. 

First-Year Students

Transfer Students

All transfer admissions are Regular Decisions.

Fall 2025 Rolling Admission

Under Rolling Admission, students are invited to submit their applications at any time over a large window. The College will consider these applications as they arrive.

What happens next?

Admitted students who decide to join the YoteFam and submit an enrollment deposit of $300 on or before June 1 are guaranteed a place in the class. This deposit will go towards your tuition.

Financial aid is awarded after your acceptance to The College of Idaho, and housing and classes are assigned after acceptance and receipt of the enrollment deposit.
