The College of Idaho has been recognized as one of the best schools in the west by The Princeton Review. The 2021 edition acknowledges top schools in five regions and the College is named one of the “Best in the West.”
The College is one of just 127 colleges in 15 western states to receive the “Best in the West” accolades in its website feature “2021 Best Colleges: Region by Region.”
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition once again,” said Jim Everett, Co-President at the College. “What makes it especially significant is that is based on exceptional academic outcomes and feedback directly from students. It affirms the commitment our outstanding faculty have to teaching and mentoring our students in and out of the classroom and in collaborative research.”

“We chose The College of Idaho and the other outstanding institutions on this list primarily for their academics,” said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review’s Editor-in-Chief. He noted that the company considered data from its survey of administrators at several hundred colleges in each region, information from staff visits to schools over the years, and the opinions of college counselors and advisors whose perspectives the company solicits. “We also consider what students enrolled at the schools reported to us on our student survey about their campus experiences,” Franek added.
The College of Idaho has scored well in the past with The Princeton Review, routinely receiving recognition from the publication. The College received praise for its rigorous academics, strong faculty, active student life, and strong financial aid.
