Commencement 2020

With the uncertainty of what the next two months will bring, we will not be having the traditional Commencement in-person ceremony on May 23. However, in consultation with senior students, administration, and the special events team, we are planning two commencement events. Learn about them here.

Regalia (Caps & Gowns)

Bachelor Regalia is in black and made from recycled materials. It belongs to the graduate after the event. The total cost is $42. Tassels are purple and gold. Click on the Regalia Form and Commencement Adornment Policy links at the bottom of this page for more info.

Graduation Announcements & Rings

General graduation announcements will be available in The College Store beginning in early March. Personalized announcements, as well as College Rings, may be ordered through [email protected].

Pictures & Videos

As a public college event, The College of Idaho will be recording media in the form of photography, audio, and video. This media may be reproduced and used for educational, illustration, promotion, advertising, and trade associated with the College.

Graduation Ceremony: The College takes official class and individual photos throughout the day. All of the photos are available free of charge on our Flickr page. You may use these photos as you'd like, including printing, but the College retains all copyrights.

Guest Seating

Currently, the College does not require tickets to attend Commencement exercises. Typically, the event is held outdoors and we recommend coming prepared for the weather. We recommend arriving prior to 9:30 am for optimal seating.

Additional Activities during Graduation Weekend

Please join the College immediately following Commencement for light refreshments on the lawn east of Sterry Hall from noon-2 p.m.

Visit the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce for more information regarding the area.
