Being a Gipson Honors Scholar and ASCI Student Body President 2024-2025 did not slow Amara Davidson ’25 down at all. She performed in several theatre productions, traveled the globe and made time to express her artistry through the Cooking Club and Creative Writing Club. Watch as she shares why she chose CofI and how she did MORE – a lot more – in FOUR.
While at The College of Idaho, I’ve been to London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Paris, Greece and Turkey. Before I graduate, I’ll also go to Hawaii and study archeology and natural biology. My advice: I don’t see any reason not to come to a school that from the get-go shows that they already invest in me, and I just adore this school.
B.A. in Literature & Creative Writing and Theatre with minors in Classics and Natural Sciences. ASCI Student Body President 2024-2025.
The first CofI professor I met was Dr. Mark Gunderson, and I recall being amazed at his open honesty, his sense of humanity, and his broad knowledge base. As I met more College faculty, I realized that Dr. Gunderson is not an outlier – he is an excellent example of how incredible all CofI faculty are. Though there are other universities I could have gone to, that was a huge factor that made the College very appealing.
B.A in Environmental Studies and Literature & Creative Writing with a minor in Classics and a specialization in Conservation Biology.
To me, there is no other college that I would benefit more from than The College of Idaho because of its intimate classroom settings, professor availability, and endless opportunities with networking. Through resources of the College, I secured job interviews, internships, and community-based opportunities that I know I would not have received elsewhere.

Coming from a small town, I appreciated the strong sense of community and close connections with the professors that existed here. My coach further sold me on the school’s excellent track record of medical school acceptance. Medicine has always been my passion and The College of Idaho provided the opportunity to acquire a diverse education while also preparing me for my future career.
B.A in Biomedical Science and History with a minor in Communication and a specialization in Pre-Med.
I love The College of Idaho because of the incredible mentors any student can interact with inside or outside the institution. The Co-Presidents and Provost have been instrumental in being available mentors biweekly! They helped facilitate my interest in biology, business, and healthcare and introduced me to fantastic mentors.

Through the program, I have had the opportunity to learn from this hardworking and intelligent, yet friendly and welcoming group.
