See Where You’ll Thrive

Yotes aren’t known to sit back and observe. Instead, they immerse themselves in all possible experiences — from adding their voices to discussions to joining groups and activities outside their comfort zone — to form a complex, nuanced and accurate opinion.

The College of Idaho knows you and structures our campus visits based on how you explore and make decisions — including choosing the right college. As you think about where your future could take shape, when you visit the College, you’ll attend class, speak with student ambassadors, experience Caldwell and the Treasure Valley, meet with a coach or even introduce us to your musical talents. Your itinerary is specific to you and all of your unique interests.

Whether on a personal visit or group tour, you’ll preview life as a Yote and all that you could do: for example, conducting research in Boone Hall’s laboratories, performing in halls known for some of the Northwest’s best acoustics or playing on an NAIA Championship-winning team. Start by scheduling a date and time, or dig in digitally with a virtual tour.

Student Perspectives

As a first-year, most classmates are in a similar situation of being in a new place with few people that you know, so there is a sense of togetherness with other first-years. I think that staff let first-year students pursue whatever dream they would like. There is no limit in the first year of what a student can imagine for their experience.”
Christian Benischek ‘26 B.S. in Environmental Studies with minors in History, Philosophy and Professional Foundations & Enhancements and specializations in Geography & Geosciences and Business

The College is a place where so many activities, sports, clubs and experiences are offered. Make the most of it! Don't be afraid to try participating in opportunities that are available to you. The students here truly become your peers, and it's easy to form lasting bonds and relationships with those who share similar interests with you.”
Kyle Trone ‘25 B.A. in Music Education with minors in Art & Design, Education, Scientific Computing and Professional Foundations & Enhancements
