College Supporters Maximize Match to Complete 2023

January 5, 2024
Thank you!

The spirit of giving was in full force through the month of December 2023. With the help of alumni, employees, parents and friends of The College of Idaho, we are happy to report that the $185,000 December match from our Board of Trustees was fully maximized. In recent years, the Board has offered up an amount to match gifts up to $400 made to the College in December, and to close out the 2023 calendar year, $192,531.86 in gifts that qualified for the match were made, completely maximizing the matching funds.

In total, through the month of December, nearly $4.5 million was raised thanks to 927 donors, including 546 alumni.

“Each December, our Board of Trustees generously offer to match up to $400 of all gifts to the College, and each year, our alumni, employees, parents and friends of the College step up to maximize that match,” said Director of Annual Giving Hayley Kindall ’13. “We are so grateful to all of our donors for choosing to support current and future Yotes and helping the College continue to thrive.”

The majority of the gifts, 431, were designated to the Boone Fund, the College's unrestricted fund. Spurred on by the football team's December run to the NAIA national semifinals, athletics generated over $160,000 in support from 243 donors. Nearly $500,000 was raised for endowed scholarships through 75 gifts.
